About the fundraiser: Screaming for climate change

Globally, climate change is leading to fewer days below freezing.

What's that mean for ice climbing? Probably more dry-tooling.

But while we have the chance to do something, we should.

AAC climate change research:

The American Alpine Club is doing important research, policy work, advocacy, and education around the impact of climate change on climbing.

They recently released a first-of-its-kind study evaluating seasonal temperatures and ice season length in the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire, one of the premiere ice climbing destinations in the U.S.

(Read the report and watch the film freeze//thaw here.)

Short answer: The ice climbing season is getting shorter.

That makes me a little sick to my stomach. Like screaming barfies.
